OMD2 challenge-holographic

I love holographic polishes.  They are all so pretty and shiny and I honestly do not think that it is possible to go wrong with a holo.  Still, I wasn’t entirely sure what I was going to do with holographic nail art.  My first thought was watermarbling (pain) and then maybe dots, but finally settled on a quick tape mani.

The tape mani surprisingly wasn’t an ordeal this time, which made the entire process much more pleasant.  And just look at that end result!  The colors worked very well together, even better than I anticipated.  I have done some good tape manis in the past, but this one blew them all out of the water.  This looks very nice in the photos, but it was absolutely gorgeous in person.  This is a nail art that I wouldn’t mind putting a gel coat on and wearing for a week or so.

My lines were done with Girly Bits D!ck in a Box and ellagee Boo, You Whore!, while my background color is called Trenzalore, also by ellagee.  Isn’t Trenzalore stunning?  This is the third of four polishes from the A Good Man collection that I’ve used in nail art, but I still plan on giving the four their own post sometime in the near future.  I really picked some winners from the collection, although judging from swatches I’ve seen, I couldn’t have possibly picked a bad one.  I wish I would’ve just bought all 13 polishes in the collection.

Anyway, back to OMD2.  The next challenge is shimmer, which will be challenging just because I don’t have a whole lot of strong shimmers.
