CYNA 12 Days of Christmas, Day 12-Freestyle

Last day of the Challenge Your Nail Art 12 Days of Christmas!  It’s been fun, but pretty tiring.  But I think I’m ending here on a pretty good note.

I didn’t know what I wanted to do today, because even though we’ve covered quite a few Christmas and winter themes throughout the challenge, there were some classic images that just never made it onto my nails (reindeer or penguins, for example).  So I wanted to incorporate a few different things into my nail art today, without it being all over the place.  I finally settled on doing ‘Christmas greenery’–meaning wreaths, holly, and mistletoe–since they all go together well.

Today’s mani used only four polishes too!  That’s a pretty low number for me.  I used mostly LynBDesigns–Defender of the Downtrodden, The Credible Hulk, and Unbroken Song–plus Gothic Gala Lacquers Lili St. Cyr.  All beautiful polishes which were unfortunately not photographed well because of the lack of sunlight again.  Trust me though, this mani sparkles wonderfully in person because of all of the holos and glitter.

I also used that very yellow lightbulb to take a couple of indoor shots, which looks better in my opinion.  The colors are closer to what they are in person (after a little correction), and you can even see a tiny bit of the holo effect.

This turned out to be a pretty classy look and I really like it.  I might even recreate this for Christmas lunch at my grandma’s.  Although next time around I know to just freehand everything, because using those little circular paper hole reinforcer things was sort of just a waste of time.

And that’s the end of the challenge.  Don’t forget to go check out everyone else’s freestyle manis too!
